Multi-Age Classrooms:
Multi-Age education in classrooms of grades 2 through 5 is one of a constant progression wherever the student is on the learning spectrum. There is no limit to learning; no student has ever arrived. They are always progressing and becoming more skilled. Student instruction focuses on the Alaska State Standards and incorporates E.D. Hirsch’s Cultural Literacy, a study in what an informed American needs to know. In addition to Reading, Writing, and Math, students learn standard Keyboarding, Cursive, and Geography. Parents, the backbone of student success, are kept abreast of their child’s progress with weekly reports.
