mrs. kotyk: Student opportunities associates (soa)
Mrs. Melissa Kotyk was born and raised in Wasilla, Alaska. After graduating from Wasilla High School, she moved to Juneau, AK and worked for the State of Alaska for several years. There, she met her husband, and the two of them moved back to Wasilla to start a family.
Mrs. Kotyk took time off work to raise her two children, and both children started school at American Charter. After volunteering in her children's classroom for a couple of years, Mrs. Kotyk began teaching as a substitute, and then she was offered an SOA position. Mrs. Kotyk has now been working at AMC since 2020. She really enjoys being part of an educational community of people who work hard. Mrs. Kotyk’s hobbies include soccer, swimming, biking, cross-country skiing, and spending time with her family.
