Joel Johnson: Middle School English Teacher
Mr. Joel Johnson was born and raised in rural West Virginia along with his three brothers, where his love for nature and adventure began at a young age. He grew up fishing, hunting, and camping. Joel moved to Kentucky for college and graduate school where he met his future wife, Naomi. Mr. Jonson and his family have spent many years living in Kentucky, China and most recently Alaska. Each of the places they have lived has provided them with adventures and opportunities to meet amazing people.
Mr. Johnson’s began teaching middle school language arts at AMC in 2019. All three of his children have attended AMC. When Mr. Johnson isn’t working at school, he is likely fishing, traveling, working on home projects, or spending time with his family and friends. Some fun facts about Mr. Johnson: he's left-handed, loves to eat olives, and has explored over 30 countries.
