Mrs. Hoppe: STudent Opportunities Associates (SOA)
Mrs. Karen Hoppe was born and raised in a small farming community in central MN. She grew up on a dairy farm with 2 brothers and a sister. After high school Mrs. Hoppe attended a 2 year vocational school in Accounting. She worked in that field for a few years and then met and married her husband. After living in MN for a year they decided to move to AK to begin life’s next adventure.
Mrs. Hoppe raised their 2 kids while working with her husband’s construction business both in the field and doing the book work. When Mrs. Hoppe’s kids reached school age they discovered a wonderful alternative to the traditional public school, a charter school. What a fabulous idea to have the ability to work to potential and not grade level. When the opportunity arose for her to become an employee of the school she took it and has had the great experience of working with fabulous families and staff as an SOA in Mrs. Beech’s Classroom. When not working she enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and traveling to spend time with family and friends. As a wise woman often says, “We become what we practice.”
